1870 Yates House Keychain - The Heritage Society
The Heritage Society Yates House Keychain makes a nice gift for relatives who have a key to your house. Listed as the most famous House in Texas by Readers Digest for the fourth year in a row, is the Reverend Jack Yates House (Father of Juneteenth) built in 1870 in Freedmen’s Town about 5 years after Emancipation. The house was relocated to Sam Houston Park by his family and is available for tours. The house is also a UNESCO site of memory for telling the story from plantation to emancipation.
Measures approximately 1.5”x2”.
Keychains are made from 3/16" thick American grown wood and assembled by hand with .5" and 1" nickel plated steel split rings. The front of the keychain has a light clearcoat finish and the back is unfinished wood.
