The Heritage Society (THS) was founded on June 4, 1954 by a group of public-spirited Houstonians determined to rescue the 1847 Kellum-Noble House from demolition. To preserve this home, which played an important role in Houston’s educational, entrepreneurial and cultural history, the founders created one of the city’s first and most enduring public/private partnerships at Sam Houston Park.
Tours of Downtown will be given by Mister McKinney beginning at 6 p.m. and a second tour at 7 p.m. Refreshments will be provided on the bus. The bus is open-air and seating is for 20 people.
Parking is available in the THS lot, next to the Kellum-Noble House, off inbound Allen Parkway, just past the I-45 overpass on your right.
