Rodriguez is a third generation Houstonian and has been active in politics and with numerous local nonprofits for many years. Some of her past volunteer activities include, LIFE Houston, Food for Hungry Babies, AVANCE and the City of Houston Health and Education Development Corporation. She has been active with numerous campaigns including mayoral, congressional, and city council races. Her most recent political activities include volunteering for the Sylvia Garcia for Congress and St. Representative Christina Morales campaigns. She is the host of the SheVolution podcast. Rodriguez is a strong advocate for helping more women get elected to public office.
